What is Surf?

Surf is a text-based ordering service. You describe what you want in plain language and we place the order at any supported restaurant — no apps and no accounts required.

How does ordering work?

You text what you want in plain English, such as "a burrito bowl with chicken and extra guacamole." Surf finds it, confirms the order and total with you, then places the order and handles everything from there.

Which restaurants are supported?

Surf supports 30+ restaurants at launch, including Chipotle, Torchy's, Jimmy John's, Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, Subway, Whataburger, McDonald's, Five Guys, Domino's, Raising Cane's, Wingstop, and Panda Express, with more added over time.

Can AI agents order programmatically?

Yes. Autonomous agents can place orders through an authenticated REST API. The API supports an API key via the X-Machine-Api-Key header, as well as the x402 payment protocol for zero-friction machine-to-machine payments in USDC on the Base network — no account required.
